  • I send you an audio message to give you a bit more info, and ask you a few personal questions

  • We discuss your goals - be it a 5k, 10k, virtual marathon or an ultra running adventure

  • I create your personalised plan with days/run types (tempo, easy, long) tailored to you

  • You get running!

  • At the end of the month, you do a time trial to see where you are

  • We tweak your plan and get you ready for your next goal!

So, how did this all happen?

In January 2021, I asked (on Instagram) if anyone fancied trying to improve their 5k time by the end of the month. After some chit chat, I eventually ended up creating personal plans for 30 people who wanted to challenge themselves for the new year.

From there, a WhatsApp group quickly formed, where 'new to running' questions were answered and motivation was spread, and naturally, a Strava Club followed from that.

I had initially planned for the challenge to finish up at the end of January, but the group got bigger as word spread - as did the hunger for more challenges. It became a place that offered people the option to go bigger, or faster, or for others to simply find pleasure in injury free running.

We are now well over 100+ sotrong

Fitness Goose Run Club is a virtual running group, we have our own personal goals but we motivate and inspire each other like a team. We have coffee mornings and chat about our goals or upcoming time trials or races, or sometimes just share our Biscoff hauls.

This year our group is training for events such as the Dublin Marathon, Belfast Marathon, NYC Marathon, Kerry Way Ultra, Ecotrail, UTMB events, TransGranCanaria, Seven Sisters Skyline and a whole other host of individual goals.

To help people build their running muscles away from the pavement, we sometimes have a runners' strength class over Zoom, or meet at the start line for our own personal time trials on weekends in the park.
