Andrew Moore

I am a UESCA qualified running coach, a qualified personal trainer, a qualified strength and conditioning coach & group fitness instructor with an internationally recognised qualification - (European Qualification Framework (EQF) Level 4 – the highest fitness instructor standard in Europe).

I have worked with over 250 runners from beginner to running, beginner to 5k, getting into trail running, running programs covering distance from 3k to 50k races, and trail/ultra runners running in races from 50k to 200k.

I enjoy working with first time gym users to elite athletes in areas such as muscle development, hypertrophy, increased strength & maintenance of desired goals. I have coached and trained over 120 individuals on a 1-1 basis in a gym environment.

I am a seasoned runner with experience of competitive tracked & field - when I was a young man - and now I am a long distance runner training athletes from Ireland and beyond into their first runs to their first ever ultra marathons.

Belief

I believe that there is no point reaching goals, if you cannot sustain/maintain those improvements/gains.

Whether it be bringing a runner to their first marathon, or their first ever 5k. I don’t train people to hit a goal and then stop. Everytime I work with someone I always believe that I am their coach for life. We are investigating where we want to be 6 week, 6 months, 6 years and even 60 years from now.

The idea that you must train at 110% in every session is another mistake. The majority of my own training sessions are working at ranges from 60-80% with a few special occasions were we push the limits. To achieve improved performance you need correct intensity, volume and the correct loads. Quality programming will allow you accelerate this.

I can’t type all my belief’s here.
